It had been a minute since my schedule lined up so I could make it to for their weekly dessert drop. Got a little bit of everything for the family. I gotta agree with his thumbs up on this one. Another morning in Newport, another breakfast spot to check out. was up and they brought some "A" game to the party. Breakfast burrito for me stuffed with eggs, cheese, sausage, bacon and homefries. He got his typical pancake and eggs, but the pancake was πŸ”₯πŸ”₯. Soft, perfectly griddled with an ever so slight crunch. Perfection 🀀🀀

I may have had the best fried chicken of my life from . Had to stop in and finally see what all the hype was about. 2 piece meal with a biscuit and mac & cheese on the side. Crispy, tangy, sweet, salty, crunchy. It had it ALL!!! The biscuit melted the butter down perfectly. Even the little guy enjoyed his chicken tenders and homemade tater tots πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Lets make today a two post day. After breakfast settled down, it was onto lunch. Been following for a while now. Dope truck with a glass wall to watch all the action inside. Little guy went with the Margarita sans basil. I went with the Rustico sandwich. That thing was killer. Fresh baked dough into a hard roll. Mozzarella, tomatoes, prosciutto and arugula made up this monster πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

You know we hit a couple of breakfast spots on our retreat. First up was and boy did they hit a homerun. Little outside my "breakfast comfort zone" with these tacos, but I am so glad I did. Fresh blue corn tortillas stuffed with scrambled eggs, cheese, black beans, cilantro and avocado. Some sour cream and homemade salsa on the side were a welcomed addition. The homefries though? THE HOMEFRIES?!?! Big chucks of potato, perfectly seasoned, griddled up with a slight crispyness. Toss on some hot sauce from and I had absolute perfection in front (and inside) of me 🀣🀣🀣

As some of you know, I took a little "staycation" with my mini me. Spent a few days and absolutely love everything about this hotel (minus the fridge size 🀣🀣) First spot for dinner on Tuesday was . My parents took me here when I was a kid and nothing has changed inside, except the pick up truck and pizza shop. Spinach and artichoke dip was my "dinner". This one was next level. Topped with bacon bits, tomatoes and shaved parm. The housemade tortilla chips were the perfect thickness for giant scoops. Even the kids mac and cheese looked pretty πŸ”₯ honestly. I def snuck a bite or two to make sure 🀣🀣. Brought a sandwich back for later on since I knew dinner at 4pm was not going to suffice all night. I am soooo happy I did because it was PHENOMENAL!!! Short rib melt using their braised short ribs, sauteed onions and cheese, all stuffed between a garlic butter baguette. Yes, that is garlic butter broccoli on the side πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Im so mad I didnt get a better picture of these before I dove in. was open special for V-Day on sunday so I grabbed a quick half dozen before the event. Clockwise starting from the upper right corner we have Dunkaroos, Samoa, Waffle Sundae, Pudgy Cake, M&M Rice Crispy and Old School for the little guy. Some of the best cupcakes on the planet πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

A new month brings a new and this one was made for the lovers. Took my normal venture up 146 to in anticipation of my day. First course was the "Ode to cheese". A ham and swiss sandwich with a warm, gooey american cheese sauce poured on top. A small helping of cheddar foam with cheddar crisps helped cleanse the palette before digging into the sweet part of the course. A honey poached pear topped with a goat cheese and blueberry mix. Finished with nuts and homemade whipped cream and caramel drizzle. I did indeed have a small drink, having to try to Roses and RosΓ¨. A rose petal frozen into the ice cube gave it an amazing, small touch. Time to start sipping on the carefully paired selection of bud from and juice from the OG . They all speak for themselves when it comes to quality and flavor πŸ”₯πŸ”₯. Second course brought an Asian inspired breakfast bowl. Juicy pork belly, lightly coated and tossed with teriyaki. Served over warm, white rice, topped with a fried egg/scallions and accompanied with crispy homefries. This was easily my favorite course. Not to be outdone, but definitely did not forget the dessert. A chocolate heart shell filled with cheesecake filling, more homemade whipped cream, strawberries, a pirouline stick and mini cinnamon roll. Peep that arrow made with a homeade raspberry reduction. That was truly the perfect end to another amazing event. Big thank you to my friend for being such a gracious host as always. Even bigger thank you to the Chef for killing it time and time again.
